Local know-how

Painting Clintonville homes, from pre-1930 Foursquares to the ravine streets.

Pre-1930 in the south
Kit homes
Six ravines
Old Beechwold

South Clintonville is mostly pre-1930 houses, Foursquares and revival styles, including many Sears and Montgomery Ward kit homes. North Clintonville runs from 1910 into the late 1950s. Six ravines cut through the neighborhood, and Old Beechwold is a historic district of stone, brick and stucco houses.

Older houses mean older walls. Our biggest posted Clintonville job was an older colonial where the cracks in the walls and ceilings needed real prep: sanding, caulking, patching and priming before three sheens of white (see the project). We have also painted a Clintonville kitchen.

If your house has cracked plaster, start with drywall and plaster repair. If it is going on the market, Listing Prep is built for that.
